It’s Dec. 21 and “all you want for Christmas” is a new job! However, Santa probably won’t be able to bring you one in his bag. The time between Thanksgiving and Christmas is the worst time of year to find work. Even if a job opening is posted in late fall, it’s probably not budgeted to begin until January of the next year.
If you’ve had interviews in December, be sure to call the company and ask when the position will be filled. Rather than sitting and waiting by the phone, relax and enjoy your holidays. BUT, spend some time plotting your strategies for an improved and envigorated January job search.
